The more variety, the keener the appetite. Not surprising, really – everything around here tastes simply delicious. From honest Styrian cooking to a dash of French cuisine, you’ll want to sample it all.
Thanks to “Der Steirer”! It’s the place where the many specialties of Styrian and Austrian cuisine are celebrated – and refined with a contemporary touch. In a truly Styrian, effortless way. Perfectly balanced, without a hint of cliché. And since Styrian wine pairs so wonderfully with hearty dishes and easygoing hospitality, “Der Steirer” naturally offers an almost endless selection of it.
When the evening calls for a touch of chic and a hint of glamour – whether it’s dinner for two or à trois – ”Salon Marie” is the place to be. The atmosphere? Simply grand. The menu? Pure temptation. Grilled octopus, Cordon bleu deluxe and beetroot ravioli with vegan fennel beurre blanc set the tone. A cocktail bar with smooth beats and perfectly mixed drinks makes the night last a little longer. (just 2 minutes away at the Grand Hotel Wiesler)
The fact that ”Kaffee Weitzer ”comes with its own in‑house patisserie is a sweet kind of cruelty. Because honestly – how is anyone supposed to step outside and explore Graz after that? Although, as the locals like to say, you’ll find the real Graz right here at Café Weitzer. Not to mention the excellent mocha and the view of the river Mur.
weekdays 7:30 am –12 noon
weekends & public holidays 9 am–12 noon
Haste is for grating horseradish. At the “Steirer‑Theke”, the people of Graz demonstrate just how good they are at pausing – and enjoying something hearty in between. There’s even a touch of Italy in the air, which makes perfect sense: next to Krainer, beef tongue, goulash and Sauvignon Blanc, you’ll also find Cotechino and a Birra Moretti on the menu.
Mon–Sat 9 am – 3 pm
Start your day in Graz with a true highlight – a leisurely breakfast at the Engelreich. True to its name, the generous buffet offers all kinds of temptations: from carefully selected breakfast classics, fragrant bread and crisp pastries to freshly made omelettes and ham & eggs, plus local favourites like creamy polenta and the signature Weitzer muesli. No wonder many of our guests rise bright and early just for this.
