Originally built in 1872 as the Hotel Florian
Andreas Haring had this wonderful, history-rich house built. When it was completed in 1872, it quickly became one of the city’s most distinguished places – loved for its setting by the Mur, the view of the Schlossberg, and its sense of comfort.
Named after the great-grandfather
Johann Weitzer, great-grandfather of Florian Weitzer, first took the hotel on lease, then later made it his own. He laid the foundation for the family tradition and, in 1910, renamed it Hotel Weitzer.
