Originally built in 1872 as the Hotel Florian
Andreas Haring had this wonderful and historic building constructed. It was completed in 1872. From the outset, it was one of the city’s most prestigious addresses, delighting guests with its location on the Mur river, its view of the Schlossberg hill and its high level of comfort.
Named after the great-grandfather
Johann Weitzer, Florian Weitzer’s great-grandfather, initially leased the hotel and later purchased it. He established the family tradition of the establishment and renamed it Hotel Weitzer in 1910.

The display case, filled with pastries from the in-house patisserie is an irresistible temptation. Will it be a strudel, a Guglhupf or a slice of cake with your coffee?
The Steirer-Theke
When a hearty dish is done right, it’s something truly special. Take, for example, the original Steira roll (“Steira-Semmel”) – a revelation. Choose from cotechino, boiled beef, Braunschweiger sausage, or beetle beans as filling, refined with horseradish, mustard, and gherkins!

Breakfast Among Angels
